Opening Ceremony for the First Edition of the Women's Technology Camp.
The Women EdTech launch ceremony, attended by one hundred (100) women of various nationalities, began on Monday, October 16, 2017, in Allada, in the Allomè neighborhood, aimed at the professional training and integration of women through Information and Communication Technologies, and was attended by Mr. Kanishka Gangopadhyay, Director of Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Benin, Mr. Serge Ahissou, Chief of Staff to the Minister of the Digital Economy and Communication; Mr. Jean-Claude Codjia, Prefect of the Atlantique Department; and Mr. Michel Aclehinto, Mayor of the Municipality of Allada.

They will receive training in «The Art of Web Writing» and «Web Design» from October 16 to December 15, 2017.

Upon completion of this training, the scholarship recipients

Graduates with training in “Web Design” and “The Art of Web Writing” will be able to offer their online content writing services to various organizations.

The AYC strongly supports the initiative.

More than 60 scholarship recipients, several political and administrative figures, His Excellency the Mayor of Allada, the Prefect of the Atlantique Department, representatives of the diplomatic corps from the U.S. Embassy in Benin, a representative of the Minister of the Digital Economy, NGO leaders, YALI alumni, AYC members, and several other dignitaries were present at the camp’s launch ceremony.
